We could just print Khennedy Scagliozzo’s name 100 times here and it would pretty much tell the story of Amherst’s decisive 56-0 victory Friday over Lakewood. The Steele senior opened the game with a 51-yard touchdown run just a little more than a minute into play — and followed with four more before the end of the half. Jimmy Schill landed a 40-yard TD pass to Danny Makruski and Dominic Deshuk pulled in an interception, returning it for 20 yards and the points. At the half, the Comets led the Rangers 49-0. Jonathan West punched in a one-yarder late in the third quarter to solidify the shutout. The varsity boys travel this week to North Ridgeville to take on the other Rangers in a Southwestern Conference showdown.
