Trio can keep progress rolling

To the editor:

One of the greatest assets of Amherst is its exemplary school system. I began my academic career with the Amherst Schools at the close of the 1950s as a kindergartner and was fortunate to graduate from Marion L. Steele High School in 1972. Along with myself, my wife and three children also attended and graduated from the Amherst Exempted Village School District. With the new Powers Elementary School on the horizon, we are experiencing remarkable progress and excitement.

As we move forward, I feel very strongly that our board of education must retain experience and dedication to the Amherst Schools and community in order to maintain our positive momentum. It is imperative that we sustain a knowledgeable and collected board in order to keep the progress train rolling. I strongly urge you to vote for Teresa Gilles, Valerie Neidert, and Ron Yacobozzi on Tuesday, Nov. 7.
