Costilow protects our past, present, future

To the editor:

As we approach the Nov. 3 election, I find the above to be vitally important to every citizen in Amherst. We need a full-time mayor who will help preserve our past, execute the plan on our present, and have the vision to grow our future in a manner that reflects our values as a whole.

Mark Costilow, our current safety-service director, is running to be our next full-time mayor. Mark has a vast resume in our city government and has the exact skillset needed to perform all the above tasks and more with a great effectiveness. Mark has spent the last four years working side-by-side with retiring mayor Dave Taylor and gaining the valuable experience needed to manage all facets of our city.

With Mark’s experience we can be assured that he will respect and protect our past, he will continue to provide the excellent services that we now enjoy, and also continue to manage our general fund with sound financial policies that will protect our valued tax dollars. He will demonstrate a vision for growth in our city that will reflect the very reasons why we all have selected Amherst to be our hometown.

Please join me on Nov. 3 in voting for Mark Costilow to be the next mayor of our great city!
