A patchwork quilt of musical sounds filled the downtown district Wednesday for Main Street Amherst’s monthly Walkin’ on Wednesdays event. Shoppers in the historical heart of the city were treated to a number of styles as bands and other performers took to the sidewalks under the blue sky for two evening hours. One more WoW event is planned for Sept. 9.
