• Dec. 26 at 10:58 p.m.: Vincent Russell, 24, of Lorain, was charged with possession of drug abuse instruments and possession of paraphernalia. His arrest came when police responded to a stolen vehicle complaint at Arby’s on Cooper Foster Park Road.

• Dec. 27 at 12:50 p.m.: Naloxone was used to revive a man in the throes of a drug overdose on Spruce Tree Lane.

• Dec. 29, time undisclosed by police: A vehicle’s tires were slashed during the night on Cleveland Avenue. It was later used.

• Dec. 29 at 6:28 a.m.: A wallet was reported lost or stolen while its owner was at the Mercy Health and Recreation Center.

• Dec. 29 at 4:05 p.m.: Veronia Wells, 22, of Amherst, was charged with drug abuse instruments and drug paraphernalia.

• Jan. 1 at 12:55 p.m.: Javier Rivera, 30, of Lorain, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear in court on an original charge of failing to reinstate his driver’s license.

• Jan. 1 at 8:14 p.m.: Police investigated what turned out to be a civil matter between two parties at Days Inn.

• Jan. 3, time undisclosed by police: Officers investigated a possible fraud. It turned out to be a legitimate business that canceled its services due to nonpayment by the customer.

• Jan. 3 at 11:42 p.m.: During a traffic stop on Kresge Drive, the operator of the vehicle got out of the car. When police commanded him to get back inside, he drove away, leaving two passengers behind. One was charged with a curfew violation. The car wasn’t found again by police; its driver apparently has a warrant out for various charges.

• Jan. 4 at 1:39 a.m.: Ricky Burgett, 37, of Lorain, was charged with disturbing the peace and disorderly conduct.
