A prescription drug turn-in day will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 22, organized by the Lorain County Drug Task Force.
This program keeps expired or no-longer-needed medication out of the water supply and away from unintended users.
No personal information will be asked. Be sure to remove all labels. Medication will be kept by law enforcement officers until disposed of.
The Amherst police station, 911 North Lake St., is our local collection point.
Others across the county include the Lorain County Sheriff’s Office and police stations in Avon, Avon Lake, Elyria, Grafton, LaGrange, Oberlin, Sheffield Lake, Sheffield, and Wellington, as well as Kipton village hall and Lorain city hall.
