A motorcyclist was killed Friday in a crash with a teenage driver in Henrietta Township.
Jorge Perez, 41, of Parma Heights, was heading east on Rt. 113 around 6:15 p.m. when Logan Danicki, 17, of Amherst, ran a stop sign at the Gifford Road crossing and slammed into the biker, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Danicki was behind the wheel of a 2005 Dodge Ram pickup truck. He wasn’t injured, but Perez, who was not wearing a helmet while riding a 2005 Honda Silver Glide, was thrown from the motorcycle.
Perez died of injuries sustained in the crash, said Lt. C.M. Smith.
Neither speed nor alcohol are suspected as factors in the crash, which remains under investigation. It’s unclear whether Danicki was wearing a seat belt.
