• March 24 at 6:50 p.m.: A 44-year-old Amherst man complained of a temporary protection order violation. Police requested a warrant for the alleged violating party, a 40-year-old woman formerly of Amherst.

• March 26 at 2:43 a.m.: James Traut, 44, of South Amherst, was charged with domestic violence, theft, resisting arrest, obstructing official business, and disturbing the peace. According to a police report, his estranged wife was watching television when Traut allegedly entered her home, assaulted her, and took her cell phone.

• March 27 at 3:54 p.m.: Brandon Corcoran, 22, of Elyria, was charged with criminal damaging at the former Shupe Elementary School.
