Amherst police reports


• Dec. 4, time unreported by police: Angela Glorioso, 33, of Amherst, was charged with theft after a complaint by Target.

• Dec. 4, time unreported by police: A 14-year-old girl allegedly assaulted her eight-year-old cousin on Middle Ridge Road. The girl was charged with domestic violence and unruliness.

• Dec. 5 at 12:44 p.m.: A vehicle was damaged and police believe it was in retaliation for statements on social media. A police report did not disclose where this incident happened.

• Dec. 5, time unreported by police: A Plaza Drive woman said she and her husband sent a substantial amount of money to people they believed worked for Publisher’s Clearinghouse. They were told they won a large cash prize and a new car and Publisher’s Clearinghouse needed several payments before the prizes could be delivered. The woman was advised this is a fairly common scam.

• Dec. 5 at 9:06 p.m.: A woman said her car was damaged while parked on Alexander Avenue.

• Dec. 5 at 10 p.m.: Gregory Radeff, 56, of North Ridgeville, was charged with driving under license forfeiture, no brake lights, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also wanted on a warrant for failure to appear in court.

• Dec. 6 at 2:26 a.m.: Cory Beaune, 35, of Elyria, was charged with drunk driving and state breath refusal. She was stopped on Cleveland Avenue near Church Street.

• Dec. 6, time unreported by police: A 16-year-old Wakeman boy was charged with theft from Bob Evans Restaurant.

• Dec. 8 at 12:14 p.m.: Ten checks worth $1,300 were reported stolen from a woman.

• Dec. 8 at 4:24 p.m.: Officers responded to a 22-year-old Amherst man making suicide threats while holding a steak knife. He was taken to Mercy Regional Medical Center for help.

• Dec. 8 at 5:31 p.m.: A steak knife was found in a vehicle on Valley Drive following a prior theft. It was collected as evidence.

• Dec. 8 at 7 p.m.: A bicycle was reported stolen from the Amherst Public Library.

• Dec. 8 at 11:21 p.m.: Kenneth Putnam, 26, of Amherst, was charged with criminal trespass, disturbing the peace, and disorderly conduct. He allegedly refused to leave Friendship gas station on Cooper Foster Park Road.

• Dec. 9 at 9:52 a.m.: A man found his cousin dead at a North Leavitt Road home. The coroner’s department determined the death to be suicide.

• Dec. 9 at 2:52 p.m.: A theft from a motor vehicle was reported on Amchester Drive.

• Dec. 9 at 8:27 p.m.: Kobra King, 35, of Amherst, was charged with drunk driving, state refusal (BAC), open container, failure to control, and weaving. He was stopped by police on West Martin Avenue after driving over the curb and onto a lawn.

• Dec. 10, time upreported by police: A belated theft complaint was made at Tractor Supply Co., Cooper Foster Park Road. Boots were stolen.

• Dec. 11 at 4:55 a.m.: Norfolk & Southern Railroad Company was charged with blocking a roadway. A train blocked the tracks at Crosse Road, officers reported.

• Dec. 11 at 5 p.m.: A woman told police she had an argument with her boyfriend and was concerned for her safety.

• Dec. 12 at noon: An Amherst man said jewelry was stolen from his vehicle.

• Dec. 12 at 5:37 p.m.: The mirror at Ziggy’s Pub on Park Avenue was reported shattered by a possible male suspect.

• Dec. 12 at 6:53 p.m.: Dean Hill, 56, of Amherst, was charged with disorderly conduct by intoxication and walking on a roadway while intoxicated. Police said he was spotted walking in the middle of Elyria Avenue and was nearly struck by a vehicle. Officers found him in the middle of Hazel Street.

• Dec. 13 at 5:48 p.m.: A Christmas decoration was reported stolen from a Northpointe Boulevard residence.

• Dec. 13 at 10:30 p.m.: David Kardos, 44, of Lorain, was served a bench warrant for an alcohol monitor violation on an original charge of drunk driving.
