Walkers took to the streets of downtown Amherst on Sunday for the annual CROP Walk, raising money to fight hunger. Amherst firefighters anchored the Five Points intersection to collect donations while others traveled roughly three miles to raise pledge funds. All proceeds go to CROP but 25 percent returns to the Amherst Food Pantry at Good Shepherd Baptist Church. The Nordson Corporation agreed to match all funds raised, according to organizer Tom Jewell.
