The Lorain County Fatality Review Committee met Sept. 2 to review eight fatal crashes that occurred between May 16 and July 28. Ten people died on Lorain County roadways in 2014 and as of Sept. 3, 23 people have been killed.
The review of these fatal crashes revealed:
• Alcohol or drugs were involved in seven of the crashes.
• No seat belts were used in five crashes.
• One motorcyclist with no helmet was killed in one of the crashes.
