A ribbon cutting ceremony Saturday ushered in new ownership and a slew or renovations at Anytime Fitness, 7590 Oak Point Rd. Amherst mayor Mark Costilow expressed his support for the gym as owners Crystal and John Schneider cut the ribbon. Renovations include new treadmills, stair climbers, mirrors, and interior color schemes. Staff hours have been expanded to an average of six hours a day during the week. The gym is open to members 24 hours per day. The Schneiders also own Anytime Fitness at Chestnut Commons in Elyria. “Crystal and I started this fitness journey in January of 2017 with the first location in Elyria and then here this July,” John said. “We’re very proud to be a part of the Amherst community and very proud to have all of you as members. Without you, none of this would be possible. We want to thank you. We want to thrive and we want to continue on.”
