• Aug. 21 at 10:51 p.m.: Clint Jackson, 24, of Elyria, was served with a bench warrant for failure to appear in court on original charges of failing to reinstate his driver’s license and assured clear distance.

• Aug. 23 at 2:54 a.m.: Jena Nagy, 27, of Amherst, was charged with disturbing the peace and disorderly conduct.

• Aug. 23 at 12:16 p.m.: A possible fraud attempt was reported by a Vermilion resident who received calls from a check recovery firm.

• Aug. 23 at 7:16 a.m.: A bicycle was reported stolen from a home on South Leavitt Road.

• Aug. 23 at 4:53 p.m.: Christopher Moon, 34, was charged with theft, criminal tools, drug abuse instruments, and drug paraphernalia. He is accused of walking out of Giant Eagle on Kresge Drive with unpaid items.

• Aug. 23 at 10:27 p.m.: A woman allegedly stole $50 worth of Starburst candy from Speedway on North Leavitt Road.

• Aug. 24 at 12:29 a.m.: Kenneth Peete, 36, of Cleveland, was arrested on a warrant for parole violation following a traffic stop.

• Aug. 24 at 2:40 p.m.: A vehicle rented more than a month prior was never returned to Enterprise on Rt. 58 and reported stolen.

• Aug. 25 at 8:59 p.m.: A verbal domestic dispute on Elyria Avenue resulted in no charges. A report said it stemmed from an argument over leaving the toilet seat up and pets becoming sick from drinking dirty water.

• Aug. 26 at 1:04 p.m.: Several residential mailboxes on North Ridge Road were damaged, four within the city of Amherst and two in Amherst Township.

• Aug. 26 at 7:08 p.m.: An unconscious man was found at the bottom of a residential stairway on Coopers Run. Family told police the man had consumed a large amount of alcohol and had made suicidal statements.

• Aug. 26 at 10:32 p.m.: Daronn Armstrong, 35, was charged with marijuana possession, drug paraphernalia, and open container after a traffic stop.

• Aug. 27 at 12:14 a.m.: Richard Rivera, 30, of Lorain, was arrested on a warrant for contempt of court through the Rocky River police department. The original charge was carrying a prohibited weapon.

• Aug. 27 at 1:40 a.m.: Stephanie Phillips, 28, of South Amherst, was charged with disorderly conduct by intoxication. A report said police went to Ziggy’s Pub and Grille on Park Avenue to investigate a man and woman who allegedly walked out on their bar tab.

• Aug. 27 at 2:41 a.m.: Lee Crawford, 24, of Berlin Heights, was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, open container, weaving course, and marked lanes.

• Aug. 28 at 11:04 p.m.: A handgun was reported missing or stolen from a vehicle parked at Giant Eagle on Kresge Drive.

• Aug. 29 at 1:08 a.m.: Charmaine Davis, 32, of Lorain, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear in court. The original charge was obstructing official business.

• Aug. 29 at 11:03 a.m.: Jessica Bevins, 36, of Vermilion, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear in court stemming from driving under suspension and marked lane charges.

• Aug. 30 at 12:25 a.m.: Police found forced entry had been made into the Brew Kettle on Church Street.

• Aug. 30 at 8:04 a.m.: Jesse Crum, 29, of Amherst, was charged with marijuana possession and drug paraphernalia in addition to traffic charges.

• Aug. 30 at 1:40 p.m.: An identity theft complaint was filed involving an out of state checking account that was opened.

• Aug. 31 at 1:27 p.m.: A scam caller asked for $4,000 worth of gift cards to bail himself out of jail, a woman told police.

• Aug. 31 at 3:45 p.m.: Amy Bakos, 46, was charged with domestic violence.

• Sept. 1 at 10:44 a.m.: A woman took a large amount of prescription medication at an Elyria Avenue home in an attempt to harm herself, according to a report. She was taken to Mercy Regional Medical Center.

• Sept. 1 at 7:11 p.m.: John Casey, 48, of North Ridgeville, was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, state refusal, and failure to control. A report said he drove off Rt. 2 near Rt. 58.

• Sept. 3 at 1:30 a.m.: Bradley White, 35, or Lorain, was charged with violating a temporary protection order. Avanell Ciupaska, 30, of Lorain, was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
