‘Charlie Brown’ production pushed back a week


The premiere of “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown” by Amherst’s Workshop Players has been pushed back a week, now opening at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 14.

The show will run through Sept. 16 and then pick back up Sept. 22, 23, and 24. Three additional performances will be held Sept. 29, 30, and Oct. 1.

Created in 1967, the musical is based in the classic Peanuts universe from the mind of cartoonist Charles Schultz. After a Broadway revival in 1999, it earned Tony Awards for best featured actor and actress in a musical and was nominated for a Grammy Award in 2000 for best musical show album.

All shows on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday begin at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday matinees start at 3 p.m. Tickets can be bought from the Workhouse Players Theater, 44820 Middle Ridge Rd., or by phone at 440-988-5613.
