The best ‘hidden’ parade you’ll ever see

Awaiting the start of the parade are Ashley Sutton and Tracy Sumpter, both eager in the go cart representing Northshore landscaping.

Ms. Veteran America Raquel Zornes poses with her 10-year-old daughter Makaya and their dog Lulu. Zornes, a veteran herself, recently moved to the Amherst area from Akron and advocates for other men and women who served.

Lorain County sheriff’s deputies Mark Bungard and Bob Vansant lead the parade and also cover the Hidden Valley area on bike patrols during the summer months.

How about a 1970 Mustang driven in the parade by John Simulzik and his wife Kelly?

Batman showed up in his “Batmobile.”

It was a picture-perfect Saturday for the 2nd Annual Hidden Valley Fun Parade. The sounds of sirens, laughter, and cheers could be heard as ambulances, cyclists, superheroes, hot rods, and more throughout the Amherst Township streets. The event was organized by the Hidden Valley Neighborhood Watch to promote a sense of community and as a platform to talk about safety. The crowd tripled for the hour-long parade in its second year.
