Girl Scouts deliver blessing bags

Amherst Cadette Girl Scout Troop 50830 completed its annual service project on June 12. Scouts made 150 blessing bags for kids staying at the Ronald McDonald House in Cleveland and also for their siblings who are in the hospital. This service project was a huge undertaking as the girls needed to make calls, email, and contact businesses for donations for the blessing bags. Two of the largest company donations were made by PPG Industries and the Spotted Dog Pet Salon. Other troop service projects have included helping the Second Harvest Food Bank, the Blessing House, and the Neighborhood Alliance.
