They have graduated — but aside from the math formulas, the periodic table of elements, the works of great American authors, and histories of ancient civilizations, what have members of the Amherst Steele High School Class of 2017 really learned? We asked behind the scenes as teens prepared to receive their diplomas.
“I learned that you should always be nice to people. It’ll get you far.”
“How to schedule my time and maintain friendships in order to succeed in school.”
“The value of hard work. I learned that you have to put in the work to get good grades.”
“Friends can help you on your road to success.”
“I value my friendships in high school. I started out not knowing anybody… I found friends who helped me through some hard times.”
