POLICE REPORTS


• Jan. 17 at 3:09 p.m.: Enterprise on Rt. 58 reported a Chevy Malibu stolen. The car was a rental that was never returned.

• Jan. 17 at 7:50 p.m.: A briefcase and Veterans Memorial coins were stolen from a vehicle on Quail Court.

• Jan. 17 at 10:34 p.m: A dog-at-large complaint was made involving a woman who was bitten. The owner, of Cooper Foster Park Road, agreed to pay the emergency room bill.

• Jan. 18 at 4:26 p.m.: Police investigated a juvenile harassment complaint.

• Jan. 18 at 11:53 p.m.: Zachery Hughes, 20, of Lorain, was charged with a drug offense suspension, possession of marijuana, and possession of paraphernalia.

• Jan. 19 at 12:04 a.m.: Derhonda Childress, 37, of Lorain, was arrested on a warrant through the Lorain police department for failure to appear in court. The original charge was failure to stop after a crash.

• Jan. 19 at 11:13 p.m.: A woman said a man hit her in the face and damaged her cell phone. The assault was reported in the area of Park Avenue and Church Street and remains under investigation.

• Jan. 19 at 11:50 p.m.: Investigating a burglary complaint on Cleveland Avenue, police found cut window screens, an unlocked rear door, and a window air conditioning unit lying on the ground outside.

• Jan. 21 at 10:08 a.m.: A train blocked the Crosse Road crossing for more than 20 minutes. Norfolk and Southern Railroad was charged with blocking the street.

• Jan. 21 at 11:30 a.m.: Sierra Moore, age and city of residence undisclosed by police, was arrested on a bench warrant through Oberlin Municipal Court on original charges of driving under suspension and muffler noise.
