POLICE REPORTS


• Jan. 7 at 6:39 a.m.: Malik St. Marie, 19, of Columbus, was arrested on a felony warrant through the Elyria police department for burglary. He was also charged with obstructing official business.

• Jan. 7 at 6:43 a.m.: Norfolk Southern Railroad was charged with blocking Crosse Road.

• Jan. 7 at 5:17 p.m.: Timothy Sirbaugh, 24, of Elyria, was arrested on a felony warrant through the Lorain County Sheriff’s Office.

• Jan. 7 at 8:34 p.m.: Christopher Geirmann, 28, of Strongsville, was arrested on a warrant through the Westlake police department for contempt of court.

• Jan. 7 at 9:27 p.m.: Scott Merda, 21, of Vermilion, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, and display of plates. William Parker, 28, of Lorain, was charged with tampering with evidence, possession of a controlled substance, and drug paraphernalia.

• Jan. 8 at 10:59 p.m.: Nikki Kirschner, 44, of Vermilion, was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, weaving, marked lanes, and a seat belt violation.

• Jan. 9 at 9:08 p.m.: A 17-year-old Lorain boy was charged with disorderly conduct, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. The arrest stemmed from a suspicious vehicle report in which the driver reportedly urinated on the street on or near Franklin Avenue.

• Jan. 11 at 4:23 p.m.: Travone Edwards, 22, of Oberlin, was served with a bench warrant through the Amherst police department for failure to appear in court on an original charge of driving under suspension.

• Jan. 11 at 5:31 p.m.: Rachel Broadwater, 25, of Elyria, was charged with theft and criminal tools stemming from an alleged shoplifting incident at Discount Drug Mart.

• Jan. 12 at 8:46 p.m.: Utah Venson, 18, of Vermilion, was charged with possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and expired plates.

• Jan. 14 at 2:13 a.m.: Police investigated a belated assault complaint in the area of Church Street and Park Avenue.

• Jan. 15 at 12:10 a.m.: Luis Gonzalez, 25, of Lorain,w as arrested on warrants through the Lorain police for contempt of court on a domestic violence charge and through the Elyria police for failure to appear in court on another unspecified criminal charge.

• Jan. 15 at 1:32 a.m.: Kevin Cairns, 46, of Amherst, was charged with kidnapping, felonious assault, criminal tools, domestic violence, aggravated menacing, and using weapons while intoxicated. A police report said he allegedly held his wife at gunpoint on Rome Beauty Drive.
