They’re making their Christmas lists…

Roxy Trunzo

Josiah Harris Elementary School, fourth grade

“I want art supplies. I like to do abstract work with markers and colored pencils. I started drawing when I was really little because my dad is an art teacher. I like drawing landscapes and mixing color together.”

McKenna Bottomlee

Josiah Harris Elementary School, fourth grade

“I would like drawing supplies. I like to draw people and faces in a realistic style. I started really getting into it last year. It’s nice to give someone a drawing as a present.”

Lydia Gould

South Amherst Middle School, sixth grade

“I’m thinking I would like a bigger bike. The one I’ve had for a year is already too small for me. I’d also like to make my family happy and nicer because we fight a lot. When families fight they should find ways to share and help each other out more often.”

Sam Gibson

South Amherst Middle School, sixth grade

“I want a dirt bike and world peace. I already ride a four-wheeler but I need to move up to a bike. For world peace, everyone just needs to get along and help each other out.”

Una Laubscher

Langston Middle School, eighth grade

“I guess I’d like world peace, a good book, and some wool socks. I want the next book in ‘The Fire Chronicle’ and maybe the Harry Potter movies. Some tickets to see ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’ would be nice too.”

Christopher Frank

Langston Middle School, seventh grade

“I would love a drum set because I’m a very musical person. A guitar would and a couple of Simpsons DVDs would be great. I could use some new movies and maybe some headphones.”

Jennah Ortiz

Langston Middle School, sixth grade

“I want some new clothes, new books, and an Xbox One. I like playing ‘Minecraft’ and ‘LEGO World’ because of how creative you get to be running around, building houses, and jumping in water.”

John Georgiadis

Langston Middle School, sixth grade

“I do want the old ‘Star Wars Battlefront’ games, books, and new LEGO sets. ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’ is also coming out soon and I really want to go see that.”

Lily Oswald

McCormick Middle School, fifth grade

“I want a Chromebook to do school and fun stuff. I go to Minnesota for Christmas. I also want the Vikings to make the playoffs and for their defense to start doing better for my fantasy football team.”

Aubrey Adkins

McCormick Middle School, fifth grade

“I want an Apple computer, a hoverboard, and cute slippers. I want slippers that look like animals with a big nose on them. Every Christmas Eve we go to my Aunt April’s, my Aunt Rachel’s, or my Grandma Adkins’ house to play a bunch of games and make cookies.”

Trinity Ridenour

Westwood Elementary School, second grade

“I want a Baby Alive doll because you have to change its diapers and that teaches you responsibility. My stepbrothers and sisters come over to the house and all of us do fun stuff.”

Daisy Bockmore

Westwood Elementary School, second grade “I just want to spend time with my family and have a nice time together. I want it to snow so we can go outside and throw snowballs.”

These area kids took the time to tell us what they want for Christmas. Star Wars, Harry Potter, art supplies, and world peace were all mentioned, as was simply spending time with their families.
