POLICE REPORTS


• June 7 at 2:49 p.m.: Robert Jones, 45, of Lorain, was charged with driving under suspension, fictitious plates, and window tint. A passenger, Maurice Noble, 46, of Lorain, was charged with possession of marijuana.

• June 7 at 7:48 p.m.: A 22-year-old Amherst man locked himself in the women’s bathroom at Friendship gas station on Cooper Foster Park Road and overdosed. Police found a way inside and gave the man five doses of naloxone to revive him. He was taken to Mercy Regional Medical Center.

• June 7 at 8:09 p.m.: Officers investigated a possible burglary on Blossom Drive but found there was no entry to the home.

• June 7 at 8:45 p.m.: Jeanette Patten, 50, of Lorain, was charged with disorderly conduct. A police report said she was stopping traffic on Cooper Foster Park Road and asking for money.

• June 7 at 10 p.m.: A man said his wallet was stolen from Panera Bread on Middle Ridge Road.

• June 8 at 12:38 a.m.: Logan Reicholf, 25, of South Amherst, was arrested on a warrant through the Elyria police for failure to appear in court on a larceny charge. He was also charged with driving under a license suspension, marked lanes, possession of drugs, and drug paraphernalia.

• June 8 at 3:30 p.m.: Jason Mayes, 41, of Cleveland, was charged with driving under suspension and marked lanes. A passenger, Jonathan Guhn, 38, of Flat Rock, was charged with obstructing official business. Another passenger, John Wayne Vargyas, 44, of Cleveland, was arrested on a warrant through the adult parole authority for a parole violation.

• June 8 at 8:41 p.m.: A girl told police she was contacted by a boy, whom she believed to be 15, on a social media site. When the two met at Drug Mart on Rt. 58, it was discovered the man was actually 24 years old. He left the area when the girl said she was contacting the police.

• June 8 at 8:48 p.m.: Jill Martin, 53, of Lorain, was charged with theft, criminal tools, and criminal damaging. A police report said she was arrested during a response to a theft in progress at Target on Oak Point Road.

• June 9 at 2:15 a.m.: John-Paul Taulbee, 28, of Lorain, was charged with no license plate light, possession of heroin, and drug paraphernalia.

• June 9 at 1:34 p.m.: Joellen Smith, 29, of Lorain, was charged with theft. She is accused of shoplifting from Target on Oak Point Road.

• June 11 at 2:16 a.m.: Jeremey Pearce, 29, of Lorain, was charged with disorderly conduct by intoxication.

• June 11 at 7:21 p.m.: Shaniqua Dobbins, 22, of Lorain, was arrested on a warrant through the North Ridgeville police for failure to appear in court.

• June 11 at 3:46 p.m.: Medication was reported stolen from a vehicle overnight.

• June 12 at 2:17 a.m.: Brandyne Johnson, 21, of Wakeman, who was a passenger in a traffic stop, was arrested on a warrant through the Lorain police for theft. The driver, Matthew Smith, 20, of Lorain, was arrested on a warrant through the Elyria police for forgery. He was also charged with driving under suspension, wrong way on a one-way street, and no seat belt.

• June 12 at 3:09 a.m.: Todd Maher, 38, of Amherst, was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, BAC over .08, weaving, and marked lanes.

• June 13 at 10:22 a.m.: Ray Smith Jr., 31, of Lorain, was charged with driving under suspension, possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, shortcutting, and unsafe vehicle. Aneetra Smith, 27, of Lorain, was charged with wrongful entrustment.

• June 13 at 9:15 p.m.: A woman filed a domestic violence complaint against her ex-boyfriend and father of her child.

• June 14 at 2:06 a.m.: Dennis Pasa, 44, of Lorain, was arrested on a warrant through the Elyria police for failure to appear in court. Pasa was also charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, state refusal, failure to comply with a lawful order, failure to use a turn signal, and turning at intersections.
