Examining one of the pressing social issues of our time, the Workshop Players recently staged a production of “The Laramie Project.” The play focuses on the 1998 torture of Matthew Shepard, a young gay man, in rural Wyoming. He later died at a Colorado hospital, spurring a national discussion on hate crimes.
