Amherst police reports

• Jan. 7 at 1:41 a.m.: Norfolk Southern Railroad was charged with blocking a roadway. Police said a train blocked traffic at Crosse Road more than 30 minutes.

• Jan. 7 at 11:24 p.m.: Chinna Domingo, 26, of Lorain, was charged with a driving under an OVI suspension, driving with one headline, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

• Jan. 8, time undisclosed by police: A 16-year-old girl told police she was assaulted by her stepmother.

• Jan. 8 at 1:34 a.m.: Michael Reynolds, 29, of South Amherst, was arrested on an assault warrant through the Lorain police department.

• Jan. 8 at 2:23 p.m.: A vehicle was damaged by debris that fell from the train trestle at South Main Street and Tenney Avenue.

• Jan. 8 at 4:25 p.m.: Brittany Krause of Amherst was taken into custody on a warrant for disorderly conduct.

• Jan. 9 at 2:20 a.m.: Jeffrey Linn Jr., 37, of Wellington, and Devan Price, 22, of Lorain, were charged with disorderly conduct. Police said they were involved in a fist fight downtown at Park Avenue and Church Street.

• Jan. 10 at 11:57 a.m.: Sindey Todd, 60, of Lorain, was charged with disorderly conduct. A report said he was panhandling in front of the Congregational Church of Christ on Church Street.

• Jan. 11, time undisclosed by police: Police received a complaint that a man was physically restraining a woman from exiting a vehicle and the two were actively arguing in front of Anytime Fitness on Oak Point Road. They were split up by police and it was found the argument never became physical.

• Jan. 13, time undisclosed by police: Checks were reported stolen. Two totaling $900 were cashed.

• Jan. 14 at 10:49 a.m.: Daniel Brown, 33, of Amherst, was arrested on a warrant for passing bad checks through the Strongsville police department.

• Jan. 14 at 3 p.m.: The lawn was turfed at Dr. Gregory Sy’s office on Cooper Foster Park Road.

• Jan. 16 at 7:38 p.m.: A 50-year-old man was not breathing on Westpointe Drive due to a drug overdose. LifeCare EMTs gave him a dose of naloxone and he began breathing and speaking. He admitted to using heroin. The man was taken to Mercy Regional Medical Center in Lorain for treatment.

• Jan. 17 at 6:50 p.m.: Alyssa McNally, 24, of Amherst, was charged with two counts of domestic violence. Kenneth Putnam, 26, of Amherst, was charged with domestic violence. They were allegedly involved in a domestic dispute at Pinecrest Apartments on Middle Ridge Road.
