Rebecca Catherine Swierz of Amherst and Steven Joseph Margevicius of North Royalton were join in matrimony in a noon ceremony Aug. 22 at St. James Catholic Church, Lakewood, Ohio.
Officiating at the wedding were the Rev. Michael Anthony Swierz, the Rev. Thomas Steven Margevicius, and the Rev. Joseph Workman.
The bride is the daughter of Tom Swierz and Karen Swierz, both of Amherst. The groom is the son of Mike and Lori Margevicius of North Royalton.
Serving as maid of honor was Allison Margevicius with bridesmaids Cheryl Swierz, Christina Swierz, Maddie Sofia, Kara Cocco, and Alex DiLuciano attending.
The best man was Randall Kibler with groomsmen Dan Margevicius, Thomas Margevicius, Chris Kmieck, Benjamin Friedman, and Jose Vega.
The bride wore a “Rosemary” dress by Amy Kuschel (San Francisco) for the ceremony and “Kensington” by Carol Hannah (New York City) at the reception. A cathedral veil with handmade gold and crystal hair vine was worn for the ceremony. A flower crown of O’ Hara Garden Roses, Juliet Garden Roses, Pale Pink Lisianthus, Ivory Spray Roses, and White Ranunculus was worn for the reception.
Flowers were by Molly Taylor & Company of Hudson, Ohio. They featured a hand-tied bouquet featuring O’Hara Garden Roses, Peach Juliet Garden Roses, and Cafe Au Lait Dahlias.
The Alex Meixner Polka Band provided music at the reception.
Both the bride and groom are graduates of the University of Toledo College of Pharmacy and hold doctorates of pharmacy degrees.
The bride is a pharmacy clinical specialist at Southwest General Health Center, Middleburg Heights, Ohio. The groom is an anti-coagulation supervisor at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Cleveland.
After honeymooning with a seven-day Eastern Caribbean Cruise, the couple now resides in Lakewood.
