Aufdenkampe, Triska united at Church of the Open Door
Heidi Lee Aufdenkampe and Michael James Triska were married on Saturday, June 27, 2009. The three o'clock ceremony was held at Church of the Open Door in Elyria. The reception was held at Wagner's Country Inn, North Ballroom in Westlake. The couple honeymooned in North Carolina.
Parents of the bride are Fritz and Sandra Aufdenkampe of Amherst. Parents of the groom are Jan and Sharon Triska of Avon Lake.
Hanna Marie Aufdenkampe of Amherst, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Kathryn Margaret Kukucka of Amherst, cousin of the bride and Lindsey Renee Whitacre of Amherst, friend of the bride, served as bridesmaids. Selena D. Wells of Amherst, friend of the bride, served as junior bridesmaid. Shana M. Wells and Jade I. Wells of Amherst, friends of the bride, served as flower girls.
Jan E.V. Triska, father of the groom, served as best man. Nathaniel E.V. Triska of Avon Lake, son of the groom and Gregory Simonic, friend of the groom, served as groomsmen. Kyler K. Whitacre of Amherst, friend of the bride, served as usher. Perry Wells, Amherst, friend of the bride, served as ring bearer.
Grandparents of the bride are Karl and Josephine Scharein of Amherst and Norman and Beverly Aufdenkampe of Avon Lake.
The bride is a graduate of Marion L. Steele High School in Amherst, and graduated magna cum laude from Bowling Green State University with a bachelor of science degree in education. She is currently pursuing a master's degree and is employed by Amherst schools as a first grade teacher.
The groom is a graduate of Avon Lake High School and graduated summa cum laude from Ashland University with a bachelor of science degree in education. He obtained his master's degree from Marygrove College and is employed by Lorain City Schools as a kindergarten teacher.
The couple reside in Avon Lake.
