Shumyla, Quarando married at St. Joseph
Christine Marie Shumyla and Nicholas Anthony Quarando were married July 19, 2008 at St. Joseph Church in Amherst where Father James Mazane officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Ty Shumyla of Amherst and Kim Shumyla of Elyria. The groom is the son of John and Pam Quarando of Amherst.
The bride's maid of honor was her cousin, Rachel Shumyla. Bridesmaids included Anna Jo Gosses, friend of the bride; Amy Quarando, sister of the groom; and Lauren McCarty, cousin of the bride.
The groom's best man was his twin brother, Brian Quarando. Ushers included Brian Koba and Bryan Frank, both friends of the groom; and Nick Shumyla, brother of the bride.
After the ceremony a reception was held at Rosewood Place in Lorain.
The couple honeymooned on a week-long cruise to the Eastern Caribbean and now reside in Amherst.
The new Mrs. Quarando is a 2002 graduate of Marion L. Steele. She graduated with a bachelor's in science degree from Baldwin Wallace College in 2006. She is currently teaching for her third year as a special education teacher for kindergarten students with multiple disabilities for North Point Educational Service Center.
Mr. Quarando is a 2002 graduate of Marion L. Steele. He graduated with a bachelor's of arts degree from Baldwin Wallace College in 2006. He is currently employed by the Avon Local School District where he is also a coach.
