Remster, Kolber wed in outdoor ceremony
Brianna Nicole, daughter of Eric and Susan Remster of Amherst, wed Gregory Charles Kolber, son of Tom and Joan Kolber of Centerville, Ohio, on July 18, 2009 at 5 p.m. The double-ring outdoor ceremony was held at the Cleveland Yacht Club with the Honorable Michael Brady, the bride's uncle and godfather, officiating.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents. She wore an ivory satin gown by Marisa with a sweetheart neckline. The strapless crossover bodice flowed onto an intricate pick-up back which featured delicate satin buttons and a chapel train. She carried a round hand-tied bouquet of variegated white and purple mini carnations. The ceremony was followed by cocktails on the lawn with dinner and dancing held inside the yacht club.
Larissa Betka, friend of the bride, was matron of honor and bridesmaids included Claire Altman, friend of the bride, Chelsea Remster, Mackenzie Remster, and Kiersten Remster, all sisters of the bride.
Best man was Derek Braun, friend of the groom; and groomsmen were Joe Giessler, David Reed and Ryan Shapiro, all friends of the groom, and Ben Kolber, brother of the groom.
The bride is a 2003 Amherst Steele High School graduate, a 2007 graduate of the University of Dayton with a bachelor of arts degree, and a 2009 graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a master's of arts degree. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in sociology at Pennsylvania State University.
The groom is a 2003 graduate of Archbishop Alter High School and a 2007 graduate of the University of Dayton with a bachelor of science degree. He is currently pursuing a master of business administration degree from Pennsylvania State University. He is employed as an assistant manager at Biolife Plasma Services.
The couple honeymooned in Cancun, Mexico and now reside in Bellefonte, Pa.
