Fialas to celebrate 50th anniversary

The children of Barry J. and Phyllis A. (LaPata) Fiala happily announce their parent's 50th wedding anniversary. The couple were married on July 24, 1959 in Nashville, Tenn. They have been blessed with eight children; Bruce and Isabel Fiala of Henderson, Tenn., Bradley and Melony Fiala of Amherst, Crystal and David Temerario of Amherst, Tammy and Scott VanSparrentak of Amherst, Douglas and Kati Fiala of Fayetville, N.C., Bridgett and Craig Weinrich of Amherst, Aaron and Sarah Fiala of Newport, Mich., and Adam and Charity Fiala of Elyria; and 15 grandchildren.

Mr. Fiala retired from the Lorain Ford Plant in 1989 after 30 years of employment. Mrs. Fiala was a stay-at-home mother.

There will be a dedicated mass at St. Peters Church in Lorain at 9 a.m. A celebration with family and friends will be held at St. Joseph hall.
