Kubasak, Dowdell exchange wedding vows

Michelle Kathleen Kubasak and Jacob Robert Dowdell were united in marriage on June 27, 2009, at 2 p.m. at St. Vincent De Paul Church in Elyria. The ceremony was officiated by Rev. James Ols. A reception was held at Tom's Country Club in Avon.

The bride is the daughter of Richard and Kathleen Kubasak of Lorain and the groom is the son of Eve and the late Robert Dowdell of Elyria.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. The bridal party included maid of honor Jackie Hribar, Rachael Dowdell, Rebecca Dowdell, Mary Dowdell, all sisters of the groom; Ashley Herrick, cousin of the groom, and Sonya Tomazic and Jill Elliott, friends of the bride.

Groomsmen included best man Travis Decker, Michael Kubasak, brother of the bride, Sam Charkosky, Steve Pandy, Ryan Hill, Andrew Kirsch and Adam Kirsch, all friends of the groom.

The new Mrs. Dowdell will graduate June, 2010, from Ohio State University with a doctorate in pharmacy. She will be employed by CVS Pharmacy in Columbus, Ohio.

Mr. Dowdell graduated June, 2008, from Lorain County Community College with an associate's in fine arts. He is employed at The Racquet Club of Columbus as a certified tennis professional.

Mr. and Mrs. Dowdell honeymooned in Aruba. They will be residing in Dublin, Ohio.
