One-woman show on Amelia Earhart at library on March 24

The Friends of the Amherst Public Library will present "Amelia Earhart," a one-woman show performed by Carol Starre-Kmiecik on Wednesday, March 24 at 7 p.m. at the Nordson Depot, 671 Franklin Ave.

Residents will learn about the life of this extraordinary record-breaking aviation pioneer. The free performance is educational, humorous, and entertaining, according to organizers.

Starre-Kmiecik has told the stories of many women in history including Clara Barton and Dolley Madison, and how they overcame obstacles such as poverty, abuse, and prejudice to make significant contributions to the country.
