These stories are based on truth
By Eunice Hutson: Once upon a time in a land far away, there was a man who was well respected, by many, and even thought of as being quite intelligent. He had a gorgeous wife, children who adored him, a lovely home, and a smile as huge as the ocean. Now, in this land, he, as well as most, enjoyed the snack; a snack being a tidbit of food to quiet the growling of one's tummy between meals.
On a day where the sky was a clear robin's-egg blue, the sun was brightly shining, and dinner was hours away, this man attempted to ease the empty hole in his stomach by performing the snack ritual. He plopped himself into his favorite chair, spread a book across his lap, and proceeded to munch the contents cradled in a beige dish with just the slightest blue trim around the edge. After a few nibbles, he looked up.
"Please", he said to his lovely wife, "do not buy this popcorn anymore, for it is utterly horrible!"
Now his wife, though she admitted she was a bit forgetful at times, could not for the life of her remember buying any snack that would cause such a reaction from her husband. Of course an investigation was in order.
As she saw what her husband was eating, she threw her head back, causing her long, brown, curly locks to jiggle right in time with her laughter, for the man was eating none other than popcorn covered with birdseed.
Moral of the story: Be careful on what you snack - it may just be for the birds.
A few months later, a son-in-law was also in the land. He, too, was fond of the snacking ritual. One day, when the breeze was as soft as a baby's chin and lunch seemed as far away as an island in the middle of a vast ocean, the son-in-law reached for a snack. A snack he had eaten many times previously while in the land. But on this day he looked up. "Why is it?" he questioned, "am I the only one who ever eats this turkey jerky. And why does the dog always follow me around when I do?"
Once again, the beautiful woman in the land played well the role of investigator. Alas, the son-in-law was devouring the dog treats!
Moral of the story: Pay close attention to the pack before you snack.
And they all lived happily ever after, and were a bit wiser.
The end
Keep smiling and praying, life is too short to do otherwise.
